EOE/AA/M/F/D/V A senior management position and high visibility role that provides Engineering leadership to drive common and integrated solutions. Develop strategy for consolidating and streamlining work activities within the COE in order to deliver COE services and outputs that are efficient, create value for clients, and enable easy integration across The Nielsen Company. Responsibilities: Lead a team of engineers responsible for all data acquisition technologies used within Nielsen company - includes hardware / software meters, tags, software for handhelds, and web crawlers Define standards and technologies for data acquisition technologies Build data acquisition platforms for strategic products within Nielsen Company Develop long-term roadmaps for data acquisition platforms based on business strategies and technology evolution Build and execute a convergence roadmap for standardization of data acquisition technologies within Nielsen company Develop partnerships with key technology providers and actively source emerging technologies / concepts Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering 10 - 15 years experience in Engineering leadership role, primarily in the technology industry Fluent in firmware, embedded software, and software engineering concepts In depth understanding of contemporary technology enablers for data collection operations Experience working in a corporate culture Experience managing a geographically diverse team of engineers Experience in Advertising Technology space desired Creative thinker, change agent Effective communicator and ability to establish effective working relationships
