Test execution leader responsible for delivery of testing services for an entire business vertical (Media, Consumer, Emerging Business, Testing & Validation).  This role is expected to lead a large group of business related testing teams to successful delivery of testing projects in support of key organizational objectives.
 
Job Responsibilities
·         Accountable for the testing services provided within their T&V vertical
·         Responsible for championing the testing capabilities and processes.
·         Responsible to lead testing teams, including team managers and leads, to meet project delivery commitments and to remove barriers to delivery success.
·         Accountable for ensuring execution against project schedules and T&V standards and processes.
·         Responsible for managing demand management and prioritization processes that ensure that testing function is supporting the Job Jar process for that business unit.
·         Responsible for resourcing activities in the area using Nielsen process including confirming budget, tracking approvals, and making adjustments to EPM.
·         Responsible for the delivery of key testing wellness programs to improve the level and quality of test related processes and projects.
·         Responsible for partnering with Application/Development to deliver on key projects.
·         Responsible for communicating with project leadership the value proposition of and success of the team through a standard set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
·         Responsible for the development of testing skills across the testing vertical
·         Responsible to evangelize the process and tools leveraged by the T&V organization outward to key partners and business stakeholders.
·         Recognized subject matter expert in the field with strong process background.
·         The differentiator for the Senior role is a combination of experience, accountability level, and team size
·         Responsible for either a large functional team or for a critical T&V function Role Requirements
 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-10+ years of experience managing testing teams
  • Strong testing methodology knowledge
  • Experience defining and delivering the test execution services in a large organization
  • Strong communication skills regarding testing topics and remote collaboration skill
  • Strong negotiation skills to set priorities and establish commitment
  • Ability to mentor and train testing team members in tools and techniques
  • Experience and understanding of test management and design techniques
  • Experience in the use and deployment of HP Quality Center and/or HP QTP
  • Experience in creating test strategies and plans
  • Experience in effectively managing blended teams of FTE and Offshore resources.
  • Demonstrates an ability to deliver on project commitments
  • Knowledge of HP Quality Center Intermediate
  • Knowledge of HP QuickTest Professional (QTP) and/or Performance Center Working Knowledge
 
 
Preferred:
 
  • Experience in defining and implementing testing wellness programs.
  • Knowledge of EPM (Enterprise Project Management) system
