A Strategic Partnership Cluster Head is a core member of the Strategic Partnership leadership team and leads a team of Strategic Partnership Community Leads and Specialists in the formulation and execution of engagement strategies for a cluster of Strategic Partner (SP) companies.

Scope

  • Responsible for developing and delivering the partnership management strategy for the cluster, setting objectives for and allocating responsibilities among the team; Drive SP engagement strategy and ensure mutually agreed needs and expectations are met
  • Participate in the management of the Strategic Partnership Team, act as its spokesperson, and act as deputy to Head of Partnership as required
  • Handle a portfolio of Strategic Partners with responsibilities equivalent to the SP Community Lead
  • Lead Forum efforts to initiate, maintain and expand relationships with globally recognized multinational companies
  • Produce engagement plans that increase mutual value creation and the breadth and depth of relationship with the SP organization
  • Lead key account teams, creating strong lines of communication to SP company senior management
  • Ensure coordinated and consistent interfaces between relevant World Economic Forum colleagues and the SP company; Focus on the headquarters and key locations of assigned SP companies, while coordinating with Forum colleagues who may interact with the SP company in other locations


Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to the tasks and responsibilities outlined below, the Strategic Partnership Cluster Head is expected to provide exemplary service to all SPs and leadership on behalf of the Strategic Partnership team as needs require.

  • Ensure that Cluster resources are adequate to the responsibilities, through line management responsibility for staff within the Cluster
  • Accompany Strategic Partnership Community Leads on SP company visits to monitor success of engagement strategy formulation and execution
  • Keep abreast of key developments and initiatives of the World Economic Forum to identify new opportunities and inform the formulation and execution of an SP company engagement strategy
  • Lead a joint organization strategic engagement planning process that develops mutual performance objectives and critical milestones for a one- to three-year period
  • Regularly evaluate the quality and success of engagement, and level of SP company satisfaction; systematically assess, clarify and validate SP company needs
  • Ensure SP company business priorities are matched with the relevant Forum initiatives
  • Orchestrate and manage the involvement of Forum personnel, including support, service and management resources to meet performance objectives and SP company expectations
  • Gather and analyse SP company information and statistics to accurately and effectively create and execute an engagement strategy; continually monitor SP company performance, organizational change, reports and related media
  • Provide relevant business intelligence on SP companies and their executives to key Forum stakeholders
  • Ensure SP companies are fully aware of details, processes and procedures related to their engagement, including meeting attendance criteria and branding and acknowledgements guidelines; Negotiate and navigate complex, commercial contractual aspects
  • Act as principal liaison between the SP team and the regional teams for at least one regional meeting or an Annual Meeting
  • Mentor and coach staff within the cluster

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree or equivalent from a globally renowned institution
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Media, Health or Consumers Industries
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language; both written and verbal
  • Fluency in another language a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a distinct advantage
