Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Rehabilitation Science is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for a tenured or tenure track faculty position.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in a discipline related to rehabilitation at the time of hire. In their application, candidates should describe their ongoing and future research plans, and how their research program will provide learning opportunities for graduate students. They should also provide a clear vision for how their research and teaching interests intersect with, build on, and complement existing activities in the department.

The Department of Rehabilitation Science has a long history of excellence with its clinical education programs in physical and occupational therapy, as well as its PhD program in Rehabilitation Science. Areas of departmental faculty research include: sensor development for home use in stroke rehabilitation, aging and caregiving, vestibular rehabilitation after brain injury, Interprofessional education research, assistive technology, neuromuscular physiology, spinal cord injury neuromodulation, recovery of motor function and walking, and global health rehabilitation research.
For the rank of Assistant Professor, applicants would be expected to develop a research program, apply for extramural support and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Associate Professor candidates will have an established track record in research with a history of attracting extramural support from foundation and federal agencies.
