Director of Addiction Medicine Research

Buffalo, New York ~ October 21, 2019

The Director of Addiction Medicine Research will establish a long-term research agenda that builds on the resources available at UB including the Department’s extensive relationships with the public health system, the justice system, and regional providers (both medical and behavioral). The position carries at least 75% protected time that will allow institutional leadership while building a robust research portfolio with public health impact. The chosen candidate will be expected to:
• Grow and lead funded addiction medicine research related to the opioid crisis.
• Partner with the public health system and diverse CRIA faculty in University-wide leadership of research focused on public health impact.
• Mentor faculty and trainees in addictions research across disciplines at UB.
