Full or Advanced Associate Professor of Latin American or Hispanophone Caribbean Studies

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University at Buffalo, a flagship institution of the State University of New York, invites applications for a senior faculty position in Latin American and/or Hispanophone Caribbean culture. The research area is open, but scholars with a transdisciplinary approach, who work in creoles, the African diaspora, indigenous studies, as well as those who work across more than one language of the region are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a strong national and international profile and possess a distinguished record of research, publication, and professional engagement.
We seek a colleague who will anchor a field in the growth phase at UB, located within an energetic, collegial, and diverse department that has been formally identified as an area of expansion and investment by the university leadership.
